1 Treadmill test The case is run on a treadmill with a bumpy surface at a designated speed for predefined km, in 4-wheel and 2-wheeled mode. 2 Tumble test The case is placed into the tumbling drum for a predefined number of cycles. 3 Drop test The case is dropped a set number of times onto an even concrete surface from a height of 90cm. The bag is dropped on four sides (back, side, bottom, top) per category. 4 Corner drop test The case is repeatedly dropped onto an even concrete surface from a height of 60 cm on four corners (top-back, top-front, bottom-back & bottom front) per category. 5 Telescopic handle jerk test The trolley handle is set at its most extended position; the jerk cyc- ling machine then connects with a trolley grip onto a hook. The tester analyses the jerk cycle at defined strokes and cycles per minute. The handle must withstand a large number of cycles. 6 Environmental test Effects on extreme (hot & cold) temperatures and humidity duplicate real conditions that the products face during travel, from extremely cold air conditions – at high altitudes during cargo storage – to humid tropical climates. 7 Consumer use test 8 Caster wheel noise test 9 Wheel wear test 10 Top/side handle jerk test 11 Step/stair tests 12 Luggage volume/dimension measuring 13 Push down on bag test 14 Deflection - trolley system/wobbling test 15 Operation cycle - extension test on telescopic handle 16 Operation cycle - trolley - rotation test on handle grip 17 Torque resistance - rotatable trolley handle test 18 Salt water spray test 19 etc. Representing Swiss quality, our products are manufactured to withstand strict industry testing standards. Trolley Hardside & Softside Temperature pre-conditioned, locked and according to size – loaded cases are required to pass the following tests in three stages: prototype development, pilot run and mass production.
