FARE ® is a member of amfori BSCI. Our production sites for the manufacture of umbrellas have been audited according to amfori BSCI requirements and all have a valid audit result. All amfori BSCI participants agree to the Code of Conduct (CoC) and undertake to comply with it. The amfori BSCI Code of Conduct comprises of the following principles as just some examples: Appropriate remuneration Safety at work No forced labour No discrimination Reasonable working hours No child labour Sustainability and social responsibility does not begin in your own company, or with your own products or employees. We therefore also support many initiatives and associations, which stand up for underprivileged people through their projects. At FARE ® we understand sustainability as a combination of social, economic and ecological fields of activity for our company, which are integrated into our core business. We want to strengthen our customer relations and tie our employees to our establishment in the long-term. Economy Our long-term supplier and business relations contributed to the creation of modern manufacturing sites, where our products are made today. This ensures that our suppliers are reliable and sustainable partners. Ecology At FARE ® we ensure environmentally-friendly working processes through measures such as CO 2 -neutral parcel dispatch, bundling production orders and avoiding single item consignments as well as reducing paper by utilising digital documents and much more. FARE ® brought the first bamboo regular umbrella onto the market in 2011. And the AOC mini umbrella ÖkoBrella (art. 5429) , introduced in 2017, also combines sustainability and high levels of usefulness as an advertising medium. It also impressed the jury of the PSI Sustainability Award with its cover made from recycled synthetics and its bamboo handle, as well as its compostable film packaging and the recycled paper hangtag. The ÖkoBrella was honoured with the title of “Sustainable Product 2017”. The new, inexpensive AC regular umbrella ÖkoBrella (art. 1122) and the AC midsize bamboo umbrella ÖkoBrella (art. 7379) extend the ÖkoBrella family and ensure sustainable communication in all sectors and for every budget. 11
