Okvirna EU direktiva o otpadu iz 2008. godine (Direktiva 2008/98 /EC

Vijeća od 19. studenoga 2008. o otpadu) je trenutni pravni temelj u svim

državama članicama Europske unije kojim se uređuje sastav modernog

sustava gospodarenja komunalnim otpadom. Čak i izvan EU-a postavlja

standarde koji predstavljaju neophodne norme za društveno odgovorno

gospodarenje otpadom.

The EUWaste Framework Directive 2008 (Directive 2008/98/EC of the

council from 19 November 2008 concerning waste) is the current

legal basis in all EUmember states governing the composition of a modern

municipal waste managment system. Even beyond the EU, it sets

standards that represent the norm for environmemtally friendly waste

management and are therefore indispensable.
